Coronavirus: major drugs trial offers hopes for treatment -
· Huw Edwards presents BBC News at Ten reporting from Medical Correspondent Fergus Walsh. They showed throughout this broadcast patients with coronavirus and doctors.
· BBC News studio has a colour red layout with a monitor faced towards the camera displaying their current topic. A clear table with notes on the table and the presenter sitting at the table. You can see other offices in the distances
· When BBC News starts the show by having a countdown with showing parts of the globe (red) with signals getting sent round the globe. It finally shows the studio before starting the news. The show ends by panning out of the studio and showing the red globe again with the countdown beeps ending the show.
Good Morning Britain (ITV)
A Tribute to Our NHS Heroes Who Have Lost Their Lives to Coronavirus | Good Morning Britain – 8:30
· Piers and Susanna read out the names of the NHS heroes who have lost their lives on the frontline, fighting Covid-19.
· Good Morning Britain are in a modern studio with a big monitor behind both of the presenters displaying NHS heroes who have sadly lost their lives helping. They have a modern tale (bean shaped) with lights surrounding the studio lighting up the broadcast.
· The introduction to the show (and after the breaks) They show a pan of the River Thames in London. With some joyful music in the background.
· They normally end part of the sequence by playing the song from the introduction and pan out and cut to the transition however, with this they ended the show by showing part of the 1-minute silence the UK does to show gratitude for the NHS.
This Morning (ITV)
Colonel Tom Turns 100-Years-Old | This Morning – 10:00
· Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield started the show of by wishing Colonel Tom Moore a 100th Happy Birthday who became a sensation when he set out to walk 100 laps of his garden before his birthday on Thursday to raise money for the NHS.
· The studio has the two presenters sit on a high stool with a wooden table in front of them. Although I occasionally see the two presenters sitting on a couch. There have monitors shaped in a window format showing the live time of the Thames.
· This morning has joyful music playing whilst the introduction plays showing the sign this morning. After this Phillip and holly greets the viewers.
