Expository documentaries set up a specific point of view or argument about a subject and a narrator often speaks directly to the viewer, talking about the relations between the images presented on-screen and whilst given commentary.
An example of this type of documentary is The Blue Planet. David Attenborough’s knowledgeable and authoritative voice, along with his years of nature experience, gives credence to his scientific narration in this documentary series exploring the history and current environment of our planet’s oceans.
Observational Documentaries
Observational Documentaries is a style of documentary which records everyday life of a subject without intrusion on that subjects lifestyle just records it.

Conclusion:
My favourite Documentary type is either Interactive Documentary or Observational Documentaries. I like these documentaries style because I have a strong interest in a persons view on things and Interactive Documentaries I can see there views and what they think on certain subjects. I also enjoy Observational Documentaries as you can see what they get up to without presence and can see how they usually act and do things without acknowledging the camera as that can have an affect on there behaviour.
I would say that observational documentaries are the most unbiased purely to the facts there following a subject around which means it wasn’t the camera crew fault if something bad happened as they was following the subject around so it was only the subjects fault to blame. The rest can be very manipulated whether it was the questions getting asked suggested something or if they edited what the subject said to seem preposterous and out of order. They could have easily edited out. A crucial explanation to make it more biased towards there view as well. The rest of these documentaries types as well can show what they want you to see as it is about them, this suggests they can be portrayed in the best manner because they’re controlling what you see of them.
I Believe that producers should portray the honest truth to the viewers as the point in documentaries are to see what life is like for subjects or events. If the producers warp that truth into a lie then the viewers will get the wrong idea about a subject or the life of that subject. I believe that it should be accurate information. However, I can understand why some documentaries over exaggerate scenes to keep the audience eye. I feel like bias is also fair if it is shown because they can show bias because they have the right to do so, but I do not agree with them trying to make the viewership turn on the subject just because they believe a particular way. I believe documentaries should leave you with points on either and let you chose what you think.
